Beijing Subway Line 8 is the sixth urban rail transit line put into operation in Beijing, China. The first phase of the line opened for operation on July 19, 2008, and was expanded in stages, eventually forming a north-south subway route connecting Changping District, Haidian District, Chaoyang District, Xicheng District, Dongcheng District, Fengtai District, and Daxing District.
